Not Australian legal tender but a pattern struck by the Australian Coin Review Magazine at the changeover to decimal currency when it was learned that Australian decimal currency would not include a 1 dollar coin. A competition was held and Andor Meszaros declared the winner. This milled edge unc coin is one of 1,500 minted by John Pinches, Medallists of London.
